Being the only child and only son, Drix has been spoiled to a degree, often getting and doing what he wants without much reprocussion. And even if he were scolded for his actions, he'd find some way to slip off the radar and do things more discreetly. Because of that, he's lived most of his life with a cheerful and carefree disposition. One can easily peg Drix to be incredibly naive for his optimism towards humanity but he mostly puts on a bubbly personality to ensure others around him are happy and positive too. He's an overgrown child and lives life in the moment.
He's a team player so long as he gets his share of spotlight too. When it comes to friendships, everyone is his friend, no exceptions. But even though he'll put his trust in anyone, he doesn't expect much in return. He may seem idiotically optimistic but he knows that others won't see him in the same light he does with them.

Drix was born in Queens, New York to a Korean mother and a Caucasian father who worked as a police officer. Sometime during Drix's earlier years of elementary school, his father was transferred to Brooklyn and moved the family along with him. The move made Drix rather anxious but not in a nervous sort of way. Instead, being the loud and rambunctious child he always was, Drix was excited to meet new people and continued to live a rather normal school life. But it wasn't until an in class assignment that he found out he was colorblind in one eye and was subjected to a few teasing remarks and mockery from a few of his peers. Despite that, Drix viewed his little disability as something that made him more special and unique than all the rest and since then, he has always aimed to be an individual in just about every area.
Being an only child allowed him to take up a lot of hobbies and interests as his mother was always lenient with him so long as he didn't get into trouble while his father was barely ever around the house to say anything. And even if Drix's father did come home to his son indulging in something he found odd, Drix was never necessarily close to his father and would always end up disregarding his word one way or another when his father was out of sight. Despite Drix's rebellious nature, he only indulged in healthy hobbies such as breakdancing and it wasn't until high school that he found a great interest in robotics and engineering.
He joined the robotics team in freshmen year and took up the engineering courses his high school offered as his electives. He learned quite a handful of tricks and mechanics during high school and participated in competitions with the robotics team whenever they'd roll around. During his senior year of high school his friend took him to his father's car repair shop just to kill some time while they waited for his friend's car to get fixed. Being the naturally curious guy he is, Drix observed the whole process, asking questions here and there with the notion that every man should know how to fix a car on their own. Since that experience, Drix applied his newly acquired knowledge on motors into his engineering designs and thus continued to study hands on in the repair shop. At the time, he joked with his friends that one day they'll make a giant robot out of car parts.
But upon graduating high school, even with relatively high marks, Drix wasn't particularly motivated to start up college right away and took himself a 'small' break to do some 'soul searching' which more or less comprised of days he'd work at the shop and days he'd go to the gym or dance. Eventually that break turned into a whole year of doing that same exact routine and it bothered his father that he wasn't doing anything else with his life and pressured him to either start up school, get a real job, or join the military. At first Drix was distraught over the idea of giving up his easygoing life style but after taking the time to sit in front of the TV and think about world matters, being the innovative guy Drix was, he figured why not aim for all three and enroll into a military academy. Pleased that the decision would give Drix an actual sense of direction with his life, his father was all up for the idea and thus Drix applied to Milizia's artillery division with hopes to work on mortars and self-propelled artillery, specifically specialize in tanks.
During his early years at the academy, Drix prided himself in his work and thought highly of each design he'd scrap together. But it wasn't until the bombing on the previous campus that he came to realize everything he's made so far wasn't good enough. Since then, Drix has vowed to put his all into making his designs bigger, louder, and heavier to make sure they're able to withstand, defend, and protect.
